John Parello is a Principal Engineer leading AI alliances and strategy. Previously, he led the engineering for Cisco’s Innovation Labs where he grew the team to a peak of 14 centers in as many countries. He ran the global engineering team working with customers to innovate with Cisco products. He is a Cisco Hall of Fame speaker and the author of IP Enabled Energy Management. He championed Cisco’s first sustainability effort as inventor and architect for Cisco EnergyWise and Cisco Digital Ceiling products. He has also been responsible for creating network management, telephony, and wireless controllers. Before joining Cisco, John was the Head of Engineering for a network observability startup and at Morgan Stanley, he specialized in high volume cash transactions. John attended New York University and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He holds a master’s in electrical engineering and computer science from Steven's Institute of Technology and was an adjunct professor of computer science at Pace University.
