Tim Miller

Tim Miller is a Technical Marketing Engineer at Outshift by Cisco, an organization chartered to lead Cisco into adjacent markets. He is responsible for the technical messaging, demonstrations, and sales enablement for Outshift’s modern application solutions, focusing primarily on cloud native application security with Panoptica. He is an 8-year Cisco veteran, having recently transitioned from a DC Technical Solutions Architect role where he specialized in VXLAN EVPN fabrics using NDFC, cloud native solutions (Kubernetes, Istio Service Mesh), converged infrastructure stacks (UCS/MDS), and the automation of all those solutions.

Prior to joining Cisco in January 2017, he held several roles over his career ranging from high performance computing (HPC) systems engineer/architect to network architect, in environments such as a U.S. top 30 research university and a private high frequency trading (HFT) firm. In addition to his Ph.D. in physics, he has active Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, Network Professional (CCNP), and DC Automation certifications as well as formerly possessing a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification.
